Kate and Dan had a gorgeous Waterman’s Museum beach wedding! These two met when Kate was working for a property management company and Dan walked in looking for an apartment. They both had roots in California, but met in Virginia Beach! Everything from their adorable ceremony on the beach to the bright blue details at the reception truly had their own personal touch. They even DIY’d the signs and games for the reception! You can truly see the love between these two, and their pictures by Elizabeth Henson Photos highlight how they make each other smile! Their whole wedding day was full of such joy, and we are so excited to share it with you!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
From the Bride: Our love for the beach. We both wanted something simple, relaxed and fun. Nothing makes us happier than being by the water.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Everyone had a good time regardless of the hot weather. That made us the happiest!
Which local vendors made your day EXTRA special?
What is your best piece of advice for other local brides?
Do not listen to everyone else’s opinions on what you should do for your wedding. It’s ultimately you and your fiance’s day. Choose what makes you happy and comfortable, and don’t stress all the little things. Your day becomes much more memorable when you can look back and say that it was everything the two of you wanted. We didn’t follow tradition on every little detail, so it made our day more unique and special to us!
