Ashley and Daniel are a sweet, loving couple who had a gorgeous, nautical Ford’s Colony Wedding in Williamsburg! In the sweltering heat of the summer, these lovebirds celebrated the beginning of their married life with navy and coral touches. Their love for the ocean was seen in their color scheme, nautical theme, and gorgeous florals. The combination of hydrangeas and peonies created a magical atmosphere for guests to celebrate the happy couple. Ashley and Daniel danced the night away with their closest family and friends, and it’s all documented in the beautiful pictures by Crystal Belcher Photography! Check out the wedding of their dreams and get some ocean inspiration below!
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
We both have a love for the ocean, so it was only fitting that we went with a nautical theme for our wedding. We are both at home at the beach and in the ocean with Daniel being an avid diver and Ashley searching the beaches for beautiful seashells. We love the colors navy and coral and the hydrangeas and peonies complimented our theme.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Our favorite thing about our wedding was sharing this special day with our friends and family. It was a beautiful celebration that we continue to think back on. We think about the love we shared and felt that day and can see it lasting a lifetime.
Which local vendor(s) made your day EXTRA special?
All of our vendors went above and beyond to make our day amazing! We were blown away by our flowers and our cake (and the cake tasted just as wonderful as it looked). Our venue, day-of coordinator and photographer made our day run so smoothly and our DJ kept the tunes playing all night!
What is your best piece of advice for other local brides?
Invest in a day-of coordinator! The peace of mind you get from having someone to take care of your needs allows you to have the best day. Our day-of coordinator was on our team and we could feel that what she wanted was what we wanted. Also, relax! It will be what it will be, and it will be amazing no matter what!
