Alicia and Tom are two strong people who make an even stronger couple. These triathletes fell in love and celebrated their marriage with a stunning fall wedding. Perfect weather created a wonderful backdrop for the small autumn details (check out the beautiful invitations!). The Obici House was the perfect venue with dreamy lighting in the dressing rooms and tons of rooms for beautiful portraits. The couple enjoyed a waterfront ceremony, a gorgeous sunset, and a lively reception with their closest family and friends! Alicia’s dress was absolutely stunning, and all the small details truly helped her shine on her and Tom’s big day.
Our favorite thing about this wedding is all of the small, personal touches that the couple added. There’s something so special about making a wedding truly fit the personality of the bride and groom, and these two did it perfectly. Red shoes for the bride and funky socks for the groom added a pop of color A wine ceremony and a Pennsylvania cookie table added some delicious details, while the blind first toast and sparkler exit added some extra fun. Finally, we loved the map that the guests were able to sign and the couple can keep forever! The sweet glances, laughter, and smiles were captured forever by Heidi Calma Photography.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
From the Bride: We wanted a small intimate wedding with close family and friends. We chose The Obici House because it immediately felt like home and knew we could achieve our dream wedding. Given the time of the year, we knew that we would be incorporating a fall theme with our colors and decorations. The Obici House also gave us the flexibility of having an outdoor wedding on the water with an inside reception area.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
We loved how personal and intimate our wedding was.
Which local vendors made your day EXTRA special?
The Obici House and Terry Tagg made our dream wedding a reality by providing an excellent backdrop. Terry was very helpful in making sure we included the beauty and history of The Obici House. We loved adding small personal details to the house to make it feel like our home like pictures on the mantle.
Heidi Calma Photography did an amazing job capturing us in both our engagement and wedding pictures. We loved working with Heidi to document our story. Heidi even allowed us to bring our dogs along for our engagement pictures to include them in the celebration!
We loved exploring all the different settings that the Obici House and Heidi provided us.
What is your best piece of advice for other local brides?
Sign up for a wedding email account for all wedding related emails. My husband and I were other able to see all incoming emails to be aware of upcoming decisions or meetings. This allowed both of us to respond or view emails without having to forward emails.
