High school sweethearts Morgan and Aden had a magical rustic garden wedding at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens! Love absolutely radiated out of this couple and everyone that was lucky enough to be in attendance on their June wedding day. The weather had been calling for rain storms all week, but the day of the wedding the heavens opened up and revealed a beautiful sunny sky! With their all-star team of vendors, every single aspect of this wedding was taken care of, and this couple was able to relax and enjoy their special day.
What was your inspiration for your wedding details and/or design?
Our inspiration was a rustic garden theme. The Hermitage Museum and Gardens is absolutely beautiful and provided such an intimate setting. Aden and I also wanted to incorporate the water into our special day as we grew up with the beach in our backyard and being near the water is such a big part of our lives. We were able to host our reception dinner overlooking the Lafayette River, which gave us the perfect setting to incorporate the best of both worlds.
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Oh gosh, everything! The whole day was perfect. To have all of our loved ones in one location, celebrating our love, was more than we could have ever asked for.
Which local vendors made your day extra special?
Our team of vendors were amazing! Brandi, with As You Wish, made this whole process a dream. She communicated with all of our vendors leading up to our big day and ensured that our day (& rehearsal) ran flawlessly. We would have been lost without her! Briana & Brian, with Macon Photography and Justin & Emily, with Gibby Visuals, captured our day perfectly. We will cherish their work forever. They made us all feel so comfortable and instantly connected with our entire wedding party and guest. Kathy Forrest, with Kathy Forrest Design, brought my vision to life. I knew the flowers were going to be a huge part of our day, as I mentioned before, I was going for a Rustic Garden Theme. Kathy honestly took my ideas and with her expertise, made magic!
What is your best piece of advice for other local brides?
Hire a wedding day coordinator and a videographer – you will not regret it.
