Two Rivers Country Club Wedding

Shannon and Jeremy’s beautiful Two Rivers Country Club wedding was full of rustic elegance and gentle simplicity on the banks of the James River. The winners of a wedding giveaway, the entire vendor team worked together to make their dream day a reality.

After attending the same high school, these two met in college at West Virginia University. While Jeremy had originally planned an elaborate engagement on the beach with an heirloom diamond ring, a bit of a mix-up led to a unique story! One night before heading out on a date, they stopped by Jeremy’s grandparents house. As Jeremy walked into the house, his grandfather asked if Jeremy had picked up the engagement ring, not knowing that Shannon was right behind him! And while it wasn’t what they had planned on, it led to one of the most beautiful days of their life when Jeremy entered them into the wedding giveaway- and they won! So many details of Shannon and Jeremy’s wedding were personal touches- from the West Virginia socks all of the groomsmen wore to having their dog Judge be the ring bearer! They danced the night away to “Country Roads” by John Denver and had their exit among gold and cream ribbons waving in the warm summer breeze.

The Historic Post Office Wedding

Jenny and Ty’s beautiful Historic Post Office wedding is one for the books! They are the very first couple to be married at this gorgeous venue in downtown Hampton. From the DIY items that the bride’s mother made to the pizza bar for dinner, this wedding had a ton of personality that added to it’s one-of-a-kind status. Forgoing photographs during the ceremony, everybody was able to truly enjoy the moment. Bracing the bitter cold, the entire bridal party headed outside for some creative bridal party portraits with Fowler Studios. Since the winter wedding had an early sunset, they brought along extra lighting and some biodegradable faux snow for a fun effect in the photos. We loved seeing the special union and celebration of this family, and wish them all of the joy in the world! Check out more of their wedding and insight from the bride below!

Chic Navy & Gold Lesner Inn Wedding

With a stylish coastal setting, this chic navy and gold wedding took our breath away. Set at Lester Inn in Virginia beach, the combination of a stunning color scheme and the personal details made this wedding a stunner. Natasha shined in an ivory mermaid gown with lace appliqué and a full skirt of ruffled organza, and Dwayne wore a navy suit, custom made for this special day. The bride wore a vintage art deco ring, with the groom in a smart pale blue paisley tie. For the décor, the couple wanted a simple and elegant coastal look with touches of gold, such as the XOXO sign on the cake table and the gold starfish napkin rings at the sweetheart table. Every fantastic detail was captured by Caitlin Gerres Photography. The entire day these two could not keep the smiles off their faces, and we just love seeing the connection between a bride and groom!
